For nearly three decades, the people of Galmudug have remained Vulnerable to both Natural and Man Induced calamities including famine, seasonal floods, prolonged droughts, Internal, Insurgency, civil strife, Gender base violence and lack of respect of Universal Human rights. This has inspired Somali charity organization (SCO) to intervene and alleviate human suffering while contributing to sustainable development of Somalia.

Somali charity organization envisages to be a leading humanitarian organization with enough resource to response humanitarian crisis (such as drought, famine and Floods) and development programs needs in sustainable manner.

Somali charity organization Mission is to improve the living standard of vulnerable households through provision of relief (including Food, Nutrition, Health, shelter and Water and sanitation), and development programs.
